Resolutions
for the New Year

Do
you make New Year's resolutions? These promises you make to
yourself can sometimes be challenging. Read some of the resolutions
made by a few Baltimoreans.
Sylvia
Kirby is the owner of Fragrance Galor located at Reisterstown
Plaza. In 2004, Mrs. Kirby kept her resolution of giving a
birthday gift to each member of her church, Christian Love.
When asked about her resolutions for 2005, she answered, "I
would like to remodel the bedrooms of the older people at
my church." "My church is my family," she said.
"I'd also like to do as much as possible for my church's
building fund."
Ada
Young Brooks, 82, is from North Carolina and resides in the
Pimlico area in Baltimore City. She is the mother of three,
the grand-mother of seven and has one great-grandson. Mrs.
Brooks wants to go back to substitute teaching, now that her
husband, Wesley Brooks has just recovered from an illness.
We wish her the best in the New Year.
Mr.
James Wood will continue his ministry in helping young drug
victims. He works with Holy Nativity and St. Johns in this
crusade to help young people. Though he sees immediate results,
this community project is ongoing. His wife supports him in
his endeavors. Happy New Year Mr. Wood and to all the people
you touch.
Mary
Aqwa (camera shy) has big plans. She desires to build a house
in Africa. Ms. Aqwa is the mother of four children and has
lived in Baltimore for four months.
Rachel
Penn's resolution is to get closer to the Lord. She will also
continue to work on her health in 2005.
Larry
Penn looks forward to 2005 by continuing a healthy lifestyle
through a nutritional diet and exercise. He will also continue
to take walks in the mall as well as be supportive of his
wife and family.
