A Talented Family
How
does one go about becoming a writer? Where does the inspiration
come from? The answers to these questions will vary for each
writer. However, Sierra Myers finds the inspiration to write
from vivid emotion and sensitive awareness.

the Do-Rag and A Collection of Poems for Teenagers and Young
Adults. Her books include historical poems as well as poems
that respond to the challenges teens face today. The subjects
relate to drugs, gangs, suicide, peer pressure and relationships.
Sierra
has been writing since the age of 10, then later wrote for
church, school and editorials for the website, Transcend Mag.com.
She
has received recognition for herwriting in the National Geographic
Magazine,

the Maryland Commission for Women and the Fuller Foundation.
