Magnet's Celebration

The Maryland Zoo's male polar bear, Magnet will celebrate a birthday this month. It will be his 18th birthday. Read about the special celebration the zoo keepers planned for Magnet. read

 

Mayor's Annual
Christmas Parade

Join Mayor Martin O'Malley and the thousands at the Mayor's Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00 PM. The Christmas parade, sponsored by community associations and businesses in North Baltimore's Hampden, will include the Baltimore Marching Ravens, Harley Davidson motorcycles, marching bands, the Boumi Temple performers, floats and more. The parade will begin in Medfield - Hampden beginning at Poly / Western High Schools and cross Cold Spring Lane, continue south on Falls Road to 36th Street, then East on 36th Street, North on Chestnut Avenue and end at 37th Street.


Live Music At the Market

Don't miss the holiday celebrations at the Lexington Market. Choirs and bands from Baltimore Schools will perform from Mondays through Fridays. There will be live entertainment on Saturdays by local musicians.
