Family Fun in Baltimore

When deciding where to go for family fun, head downtown to the Walters Art Museum. Located in Baltimore's historic Mt. Vernon Cultural District, the Walters Art Museum offers loads of options. The informal activities include tours, art projects, storytelling, hands-on activities for kids, films, festivals and more.

On February 17th, the Walk, Wonder and Create Family Tour will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Visitors of all ages are invited to take a tour and create a work of art.

Each Saturday throughout February, from 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM you may participate in the Drop-in Art Activities: Mythological Creatures and construct a collage.

Kids 3 to 5 years of age will enjoy the 90-minute workshop- ArtKids Preschool Program held on the first Saturday and Wednesday of the month from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon.

On the first Saturday of every month, enjoy Family Flick Day. The films are family-friendly family oriented

You'll also enjoy the Family Festivals that include performances, art activities and films. In fact, the All Jazzed Up! African-American Festival will take place on February 24th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Make discoveries about jazz, then create instruments and jazz-inspired art.
