Dancing With Grace

(Click photos to enlarge.)

If you need a break from the usual, grab your dancing shoes and head over to Dancing With Grace Productions. There, you'll meet Grace and Hugo A. Badillo, the owners of Dancing With Grace Productions, Inc. One of their seven instructors there will be ready to assist you.

"Hugo and I both began teaching nearly 10 years ago," says Grace. "We have trained with some of the leading professional dancers in the nation and internationally," she continued.

Certified to teach LA Style, NY Style and Puerto Rican Style salsa by the University of Salsa in Puerto Rico, Dancing With Grace Productions offers weekly beginner and intermediate salsa lessons in the Baltimore area. Drop-in classes, private lessons, team building programs and school programs are taught.

"Our philosophy is that dance is an expression of joy, love and communication through movement," Grace comments. "We're trying to add elegance and grace to social dancing."

Dancing With Grace Productions have performed for weddings, charitable events, colleges, club socials and holiday parties. "We have also done classes at schools," Grace went on. "We recently taught at the Greenmount Elementary school. The students, ages 5 to 13 learned the skills of leading their partner, following their partner, upper body coordination, foot work synchronization and most of all better self esteem and self image."

Dancing With Grace Productions has planned a fund raiser for an orphanage in Mexico. Here, the children are aids victims and will soon lose funding from the pharmaceutical company there. A special event will soon be held to raise money for the children.

"We want to donate supplies to the children," says Grace. "In the future, we will be doing a camera project through Project Hope. We want to teach the children how to use the cameras by taking photographs and discussing their feelings."

On April 28th a video release party will be held at Gardels Supper Club located in downtown Baltimore. This event will celebrate the release of a Dancing With Grace Productions Salsa Video series. Proceeds from the video party will be donated to the hospital in Mexico.

When you decide to visit Dancing With Grace, the right shoes can change your dancing drastically. Give them a telephone call and ask for advice.
